Many people carry stress in their body. They have areas of their body that are tense. I find my shoulder muscles are tensed many times during the day. I don’t know why they just are. Many people get tense when under stress, anxiety or anger. Here’s a simple way to help you relax. At the end of the day you will get more done, have more energy, and have a better day.

This is the method I use. It can be done in a few seconds and most anytime. There are many other methods but I thought that this one might help you and you can do it in a few seconds.

FIRST STEP – MONITOR YOUR TENSION

As you go thru your day scan your body for tension. Many times you will not even realize you are this tense.

‘relax relax’ SELF HYPNOSIS TOOL

Whenever I say the words ‘relax relax’ to myself, I feel a wave of relaxation flowing from my head on down thru my body. And I feel the stress, tension, anger or anxiety going down.

First say the words ‘relax relax’ and imagine a wave of relaxation flowing down your body and lowering your body tension. Feel it happening. It may take time but the more you do it the sooner you get results. Whenever you feel tense, stressed, angry this will help you relax. For more on stress go to the Stress Workbook on this blog.

For specific tension like in my shoulder muscles bring your awareness to the tense muscles and then say ‘relax relax’ like above and feel the muscles relax. You will save energy and be more relaxed during your day.

OTHER METHODS

You can tense and relax your muscles one at a time. You can exercise, do yoga, meditation, have something to squeeze with your hand, other self hypnosis, take an imaginary trip to a fun place, and many more. The point is to have a plan to monitor your stress and then release it.

I hope this helps you.
