Having trouble reaching your goal or making the change you want? Perhaps there is something holding you back. Let’s find out what it is and let go of it. First we try to find out what is holding you back and then find a way to deal with it. In this Post we will talk about Doubts, Past failure, Real world problems, and Mini goals.

There are many basic areas that can hold you back. doubts, past failures, real world problems, anxiety and depression, stress, money, not enough time and many more. Let’s start with automatic writing. 

AUTOMATIC WRITING

  • Sit in a chair with a pen and paper
  • You can use self hypnosis or just bypass it
  • Say Strong self hypnosis or Peace self hypnosis
  • My shoulders, arms and hands are strong
  • My chest and stomach are strong
  • My back and legs are strong. I am strong

Take your pen and paper. Write your goal or change at the top. Write your question. Just keep writing your question quickly over and over. When a reason comes up write it down and start writing the question again and again quickly.

What’s holding me back? Your Inner Mind (subconscious) can provide answers. Why do I eat so much? Why don’t I study enough? What’s my next step? Your Inner Mind can give you answers to these questions and other ones. It can provide insight and inspiration. It can give you answers to practical questions like “How can I finish writing Chapter 7”? Automatic writing provides a key to unlocking these answers.

WEIGHT LOSS EXAMPLE

  • Why do I eat so much? (you can also use “What’s holding me back?” for the question)
  • Why do I eat so much?
  • Why do I eat so much?
  • Why do I eat so much?…..stress (write the question again quickly)
  • Why do I eat so much?
  • Why do I eat so much?
  • Why do I eat so much?…..I’m old
  • Why do I eat so much?
  • Why do I eat so much? …..money worries
  • Why do I eat so much?

And this strength helps me have a wonderful day 5.4.3.2.1.

Now look at these triggers and say: “What can I do instead of eating?” Samples below.

Stress – go to gym or maybe less caffeine or use self hypnosis or…
I’m old – realize you can lose weight but it may take longer or…
Money worries – visualize money coming, or have faith it will or realize it’s no excuse to eat or ….

BAD HABITS – Some Questions for Biting Nails

  • When did this start?
  • When do I bite my nails?

  • What can I do instead of biting my nails?

DOUBTS

Doubts can pop up any time especially when you are starting out. A new project can raise so many doubts. If you want to lose 50 pounds it could take 6 months to a year. That’s a long time. How can I last that long? Most smokers have tried to quit many times and didn’t make it. How can I quit this time? Trying to get an ‘A’ on your next Math exam when your last exam was a ‘C’ grade can seem hopeless. So what can we do? We can go from ‘doubts’ to ‘I can’. to ‘I get an ‘A’ on my Math exam’. Here are 3 ways.

AUDIO TRACKS 

They are my favorite way to remove doubts. You listen and they take you into self hypnosis to get motivated, to help remove temptations & doubts, and to gain insight. I have 2 types: ‘relax’ and ‘outloud’. The outloud keeps you in normal consciousness and can be listened to while sitting down, or cooking, cleaning, similar activities or you can listen like it was music in the background. The relax track takes you deeper. You need to sit or lie down in a quiet area or use headphones. All are short 2-10 minutes so they will give you a quick burst of motivation. I CAN

Use the words ‘I can’ often. I can lose weight, I can exercise, I can get an ‘A’ on my Math exam. I can have $1,000 in commissions this week. The words ‘I can’ are easier to accept than ‘I lose 60 pounds’. If you have doubts start using the word ‘I can’ right away until you start believing you can. I can lose weight. I can exercise. I can get an ‘A’ on my Math exam. I can study and learn the material.

DAYDREAM

Just daydream about reaching your goal. Imagine it happening. For example weight loss – See the scale coming up with lower numbers. See feel the benefits. Whatever you want daydream about it while waiting in line, taking a work break, before you go to sleep, most anytime. Also ask yourself: “How will I feel when I reach my goal (put in specific goal).

Do this as often as you can. It takes only a few seconds. Your Inner Mind needs to be told what you want to do and each time you are adding ++++ positive suggestions. The Conscious Mind is the driver in a car with the Inner Mind the car. You need to steer, to step on the gas pedal and step on the brakes when needed. You can reach your goals.

PAST FAILURES

Sometimes your past failures can be holding you back. You may have tried to lose weight many times or tried to quit smoking. Each time you failed you felt crushed and hopeless. Or you may have lost the weight but gained it back.

Look at your history regarding this goal and other areas of your life. Bring up your past attempts in any area. Ask and reflect on these two questions. What was going on? What did I learn? Sometimes you may just learn that ‘shit happens’. You can also use Peace self hypnosis. Self hypnosis takes some time to learn but you don’t have to go deep. Just say the words and go with them.

  • Sit or lie down
  • Use Peace self hypnosis. Say
  • My shoulders, arms and hands are at peace
  • My chest and stomach are at peace
  • My back is at peace. I am at peace
  • Bring into your awareness your goal
  • Say: I can reach my goal 3 times. (put in your goal)
  • Look at and reflect on a past failure
  • Ask: What was going on?
  • What did I learn?
  • Let a good memory come up
  • Say: Wake up to a good day 5.4.3.2.1.

MINI GOALS

You need to lose 55 pounds and you just can’t do it. It’s hard to lose that much weight. Sometimes breaking your goal into smaller mini goals can help. For example you want to weigh 135 pounds and you weigh 190 now. Instead of focusing on 135 perhaps set your next goal to 185 or 180. This will be easier to meet and you will feel success and then go to the next mini goal. 

REAL WORLD PROBLEMS

Perhaps you don’t know how to do a project at work. Perhaps you don’t know what food to eat and how much to lose weight. Perhaps your goal is to write a book and you don’t know how to get started. Or you want to quit smoking but don’t know how.

These are real world problems and there are real world solutions. Perhaps ask someone, google it, go to library and get a book on how to do it, get someone to help you or whatever you can come up with.
