Last week I got a dose of not having confidence in one area when I realized my drivers licensee expires on July 10 and I have to pass a written test. It just hit me hard for a couple of days and I felt a lot of stress and some anger because the questions are so technical it’s hard to remember the answers. So I started using the ideas below and studying the manual and my confidence is growing. Garry (I past)

What is confidence? I would say it is feeling that you can do some specific task like pass the written exam above. It can also be a feeling that if you fail you will be able to handle that. It’s a feeling that you can handle life. It’s a feeling that the glass is more than half full and many good things will happen today. 

Where does it come from? A part is from your Inner Mind (subconscious), a part from having a high chance of success, a part from how successful you are in other areas, and most of all doing the practical steps needed for example studying the drivers manual.  As you study for the written drivers test you will become more confident and when you go thru these mental tools you will also become more confident. It is a combination of the physical (studying) and the mental (below). 

Physical + Mental = Be More Confident 

Now many people don’t do the Mental part and that is fine. The Mental part makes it fast & easier. This Post will deal with the Mental part. The next post will deal with the Physical part.

MENTAL PARTS

AUDIO TRACKS 

They are my favorite way to become confident when I have to do something. You listen and they take you into self hypnosis to get motivated, to help remove temptations & doubts, helps you do the practical steps like study, to gain insight with the end result you are more confident. I have 2 types: ‘relax’ and ‘outloud’. The ‘outloud’ keeps you in normal consciousness and can be listened to while sitting down, or cooking, cleaning, similar activities, or you can listen like it was music in the background. The ‘relax’ track takes you deeper. You need to sit or lie down in a quiet area or use headphones. All are short 2-10 minutes so they will give you a quick burst of motivation. For a specific task you can use the Goals Tracks. The audio tracks are on this blog at the top click on ‘audio tracks’.

I CAN

Use the words ‘I can’ often. I can pass the written drivers test. I can lose weight, I can exercise, I can get an ‘A’ on my Math exam. I can have $1,000 in commissions this week. Using Weight Loss as an example, the words ‘I can’ are easier to accept than ‘I lose 60 pounds’. If you have doubts start using the word ‘I can’ right away until you start believing you can. I can lose weight. I can exercise. I can get an ‘A’ on my Math exam. I can study and learn the material. I can pass the written drivers test. And you will become more confident.

MENTAL EXERCISE

Start telling yourself ‘I can xxx (be specific). Out loud or to yourself. You can do this during a work break, while standing in line, listening to music, before studying, etc. When I ask you to say ‘I can reach my goal’ put in your own goal. For example: I can lose weight or I can ‘my mini goal’, I can get an ‘A’ whatever your goal is.

DAYDREAM

Just daydream about reaching your goal. Imagine it happening. For example weight loss – See the scale coming up with lower numbers. See feel the benefits. Whatever you want daydream about it while waiting in line, taking a work break, listening to music, most anytime anywhere. Make sure you are safe. And you will become more confident.

Do this as often as you can. It takes only a few seconds. Your Inner Mind needs to be told what you want to do and each time you are adding ++++ suggestions which will ignite your motivation which means you can do it fast & easier. The Conscious Mind is the driver in a car with the Inner Mind the car. You need to steer, to step on the gas pedal and step on the brakes when needed. You can reach your goals.

PAST FAILURES

If you are having doubts floating thru your mind they could be from past failures. You may have tried to lose weight many times or tried to quit smoking. Each time you failed you felt crushed and hopeless. Or you may have lost the weight but gained it back.

Look at your history regarding this goal and other areas of your life. Bring up your past attempts in any area. Ask and reflect on these two questions. What was going on? What did I learn? You can also use Peace self hypnosis. Self hypnosis takes some time to learn but you don’t have to go deep. Just say the words and go with them.

  • Sit or lie down
  • Use Peace self hypnosis. Say
  • My shoulders, arms and hands are ‘at peace’ or ‘relaxing’ or ‘strong’
  • My chest and stomach are at peace
  • My back is at peace. I am at peace
  • Bring into your awareness your goal
  • Say: I can reach my goal 3 times. (put in your goal)
  • Look at and reflect on a past failure
  • Ask: What was going on?
  • What did I learn? (sometimes that ‘shit happens’)
  • Let a good memory come up
  • Say: Wake up to a good day 5.4.3.2.1.

*INSTRUCTIONS FOR SELF HYPNOSIS* 

You can keep your eyes open or closed. Peace is usually closed, strong open, and ‘relax relax’ can be either. First read the self hypnosis script to get an idea of what it is. Then read these lines one by one and follow what is says until you get the script in your head and then let them unfold in your mind. Deep is not needed. 

For Peace or Strong self hypnosis you have more than one choice of words to use i.e. for strong you can use strong or energized either one is good just use the same one thru the whole self hypnosis.

PAST SUCCESS

While your failures can be discouraging, your successes can be super motivating. Look over your life for your accomplishments. Bring into your mind a success of any kind that you had. Look at the difficulties you had to overcome. See feel yourself having these feelings of success. You can also use Strong or Peace self hypnosis.

  • My shoulders, arms and hands are ‘relaxing’ ‘at peace’ ‘heavy’
  • My chest and stomach are at peace
  • My back is at peace. I am at peace
  • Now bring up a past success
  • Look at what I had to overcome
  • Let feelings of success come up
  • I did it! I did this and now I am becoming confident
  • See feel yourself reaching your goal
  • Now wake up to a wonderful day 5.4.3.2.1.

NEW PERSON EMERGING

Within me a new person is growing. One that is confident. See feel this new person growing inside me and becoming the new me. 

SELF HYPNOSIS

Self hypnosis will make it more powerful. Self Hypnosis really helps you and you can do it yourself and it is free. With self hypnosis you give yourself suggestions to reach your goal, lose weight, or whatever you are working on. Online it might be harder to learn self hypnosis however all you need is a light feeling of ‘peace’ or ‘strength’ or feeling of ‘relaxation’ coming over you. Just say the script slowly and let the feeling come over you. The audio tracks also are self hypnosis.

I teach five types of self hypnosis: Peace, Strong, audio tracks, EFT, ‘relax relax’ self hypnosis. Here we will use ‘Peace’, Strong, and ‘relax relax’

Peace self hypnosis relaxes the body and mind and allows your Inner Mind to come into Awareness a little. People experience this during a massage, an engrossing movie at the theater, in a recliner listening to soft music and just before sleep.

The ‘relax relax’ self hypnosis is used when you are under stress and muscle tension. It sends a wave of relaxation down thru your body. And your stress or tension level goes down and you feel better. Or it can be just used on the one tense part of your body. I have my tension in my face muscles so I just focus on these muscles and say ‘relax relax’ and they relax. 

Strong self hypnosis which I also call Energy self hypnosis energizes your body and mind. It brings your Inner Mind (subconscious) into Awareness. It gets you pumped up. Competitive athletes experience it calling it the zone or whatever new term they have. The Conscious Mind can’t think fast enough to do all those fast maneuvers. The Inner Mind takes over and does them after long periods of practice. When you have been driving and suddenly don’t remember driving that’s Strong self hypnosis. It’s great for getting pumped at the gym, while taking an exam, and at work.

relax relax’ SELF HYPNOSIS

Just repeat the words ‘relax relax’ and feel a wave of relaxation flow down thru your body. And the cravings, stress, anger whatever will go down and you will feel better and more confident. You can just focus on the tense area of your body and say ‘relax relax’ and this area relaxes. To start imagine it happening. Takes time.

PEACE SELF HYPNOSIS

For Peace self hypnosis you can say ‘at peace’ or ‘relaxing’ or ‘heavy’ whichever you want and use it thorough out the exercise. I use heavy. Can I use it while working? Yes it only takes a few seconds just make sure you are in a safe place.

My shoulders, arms and hands are ‘at peace’ or ‘relaxing’ or ‘heavy’
My chest and stomach are at peace
My back is at peace. I am at peace

STRONG SELF HYPNOSIS

For Strong self hypnosis you can say ‘strong’ or ‘energized’, whichever you want. Will this work at the gym or at work? Yes It will get you charged up and ready to do more. Yes it only takes a few seconds just make sure you are in a safe spot. Strong self hypnosis is also called Energy self hypnosis in these Workbooks.

My shoulders, arms and hands are ‘strong’ or ‘energized’
My chest and stomach are strong
My back and legs are strong. I am strong
