Motivation is the engine that drives you to lose weight. When it’s strong you wake up excited about losing weight that day. If you have any temptations to eat and you might not have any, you will be able to easily brush them aside. With it you can stay on track to your goal which means you lose weight fast & easier. You get there as soon as possible. When it’s weak you struggle. Today we start a series of Chapters on how to get motivated and stay motivated.

Get super motivated. Here we offer Motivation Tools that take seconds to 9 minutes to get you super motivated. You can use them most anytime anywhere. You have them available whenever you need them or want them. Thinking about not going to the gym use a Tool to get motivated and go to the gym. Have a break at work do a visualization and give yourself a PEP talk. Tools are very short so you can use them most anytime anywhere

Some people get inspired and have a burning desire to lose weight. It keeps them going strong. Many times this is due to some inspired motivation. A birthday, a friends wedding, start of summer, some event or they may just be tired of being fat. Many people want to prove to people that they can. They want to show off their new body at the beach this summer. You want to find yours.

FIND YOUR INSPIRATION

In my younger days much much younger I was a bodybuilder. Seven years ago I weighted 248. I was still somewhat muscular but had 60 pounds of FAT. My motivations were strong.

  1. I had been fat for about 15 years slowly gaining more. I just wanted it over.
  2. I was getting older and I knew if I didn’t do it now I might never be able to do it.
  3. I wanted to prove to people that my self hypnosis program works. I wanted to make my body an advertisement. I wanted people to notice me and see how this old man at 72 years was fit.

Today is a good day for you to discover your inspirations. First the practical and usual motivations. Write yours down.

  • More attractive
  • Look younger
  • Have more pep
  • Better health
  • Better sex life
  • Impress someone
  • And more

Next we want to find a deeper motivation that will inspire you. One that is inside your Inner Mind ready to create a fire of desire within you to lose weight. One that will keep you going during the tough times. My motivations above are good examples of this. Here is a simple exercise that will help you find yours.

Mental Exercise

We will use Peace Self Hypnosis. Sit or lie down in a quiet place. To start I want you to say the following to yourself and bring your awareness to that area. Feel peace come over this area. We just want you to relax and clear your mind. 

  • My shoulders, arms and hands are at ‘peace’  or ‘relaxing’ or ‘heavy’
  • My chest and stomach are at peace
  • My back is at peace. I am at peace
  • Ask yourself
  • Why do I want to lose weight?
  • Why do I want to lose weight?
  • Ask the question and then ask it again right away and then again…
  • When a new reason comes up explore it in your mind
  • Do this 8-10 times and then rest and wait for insight

When ready say: Wake up to a good day 5.4.3.2.1.   (optional)

Keep doing this exercise whenever until you get inspired. You may get one or more reasons.

Strong Self Hypnosis Version

Use Strong Self Hypnosis. Take a pencil and paper. At the top write your goal. Then write the question “Why do I want to lose weight”. Keep writing it quickly one after the other just like above. When something comes up write it down and reflect. Then start writing the question again and again.

Instructions For Self Hypnosis

You can keep your eyes open or closed. Peace is usually closed, strong open, and ‘relax relax’ can be either. First read the self hypnosis script to get an idea of what it is. Then read these lines one by one and follow what is says until you get the script in your head and then let them unfold in your mind. Deep is not needed. 

For Peace or Strong self hypnosis you have more than one choice of words to use i.e. for strong you can use strong or energized either one is good just use the same one thru the whole self hypnosis

Inspiration comes on it’s own schedule. Perhaps now or when you wake up. It also can just dawn on you. You will find yours. The inspiration could be deep in your Inner Mind and take some time to surface. Within you is a fire of desire to lose weight. Each day this fire of desire gets stronger and stronger and makes it easier to lose weight. You can lose weight. You lose weight. You love losing weight.

PEP TALK

This is a powerful Tool to get and stay motivated. It takes less than 20 seconds and can be done most anywhere anytime. Make up your own PEP Talk with a group of suggestions or statements and say them throughout your day. Repeat one of them a few times or say 3-5 of them at once. Make sure they are positive, present tense, possible, and personal. The Inner Mind thinks in the present so we need to talk to it like that. Or make them up on the spot like a Coach would. Repeat them often.

SAMPLE GOOD PEP SUGGESTIONS

  • I can lose weight
  • I love losing weight
  • I weigh xxx
  • I eat less today
  • By eating less I lose weight faster
  • I eat less until I eat the right amount to lose weight
  • I follow my food plan today
  • The purpose of eating is to nourish my body
  • I lose weight today
  • Losing weight means I get healthier
  • Losing weight means I have more energy
  • Losing weight means I am more attractive
  • I love losing weight and being happier

Make up and write down a Pep Talk for yourself. Say it often. This is a great Tool you can use anytime anywhere to get motivated. Why do all of this stuff? You are trying to change your Inner Mind so it will help you lose weight. This takes time. The Tools can be used for all goals and personal changes anytime anywhere.

VISUALIZE LOSING WEIGHT

You need to tell your Inner Mind what you want to happen. You need to add positives to get super motivated. Using the Self Hypnosis Tools you can do this. This is the Visualization Tool for weight loss. The audio tracks also take you on a visualization. 

  • Say Peace Self Hypnosis
  • My shoulders, arms, and hands are at ‘peace’  or ‘relaxing’ or ‘heavy’
  • My chest and stomach are at peace
  • My back is at peace
  • I am at peace
  • See the future you standing on your scale
  • See it reading your goal
  • See feel joy flowing thru your body
  • Visualize a thin white cord going from the present you to the future you
  • You are connected to your future
  • Next get energized
  • My shoulders, arms and hands are getting energized
  • My chest and stomach are getting energized
  • My back and legs are getting energized.
  • Energy flows thru my body

When ready say: Wake up to a good day 5.4.3.2.1.  (optional)

THE SIGNPOST

Losing weight can be tough especially if you have a lot of weight to lose. It can take months and perhaps over a year. Each day you need to stay motivated and on track. Here is a good exercise to help you. You can use self hypnosis or you can use the short version. All the audio tracks have it. The SignPost is great for cravings. It will get you motivated to walk away from those cookies or whatever you desire which means you lose weight fast & easier.

BEFORE EATING 

We juggle so many balls, work, home, stress, bills, kids, etc. Before eating we can let go of all that and focus on eating and our fellow diners. We can eat less and enjoy it more. This can be shortened or you can make up your own. Start doing this before you eat. You can modify any way you want or just make up your own.

BEFORE EATING TOOL

You can use Strong or Peace self hypnosis whatever you want or need. Here  are two examples.

  • Say Strong self hypnosis. Eyes open or closed.
  • My shoulders, arms and hands are ‘strong’  or ‘energized’
  • My chest and stomach are strong
  • My back and legs are strong. I am strong.
  • Say goal 3 times.
  • Notice the colors, shapes and smells of the food
  • Say this food taste so good and fills me up
  • Connect with your fellow diners
  • Or
  • Say Peace self hypnosis
  • My shoulders, arms and hands are ‘relaxing’ ‘heavy’ ‘at peace’
  • My chest and stomach are relaxing
  • My back is relaxing. I am relaxing.
  • I follow my food plan today
  • Notice the colors, shapes and smells of the food
  • Say I enjoy this meal so much
  • Connect with your fellow diners
