I am too tired. I can’t do it. I don’t know how. Your thoughts shape your reality. You can change your bad thoughts into good thoughts which means you will be happier. You will also start seeing the glass as almost full instead of half empty. Positive Thinking is about building a mental framework of habits, attitudes, energy, and knowing how to do things so that you are happier and have a good life. This is the first Post of a series on Positive Thinking and below is a list of some of the areas we will cover.

POSITIVE THINKING

I AM TOO TIRED

If you have thoughts of being tired you will stay tired and do you really want this. Of course not. Then it’s time to fight back. I was walking my dog Max the other day and I had thoughts of how tired I was and actually felt tired. I then told myself: I am strong and energy flows thru me and I felt stronger with more energy. Or you can use Energy self hypnosis.

  • Say: My shoulders, arms and hands are getting energized
  • My chest and stomach are getting energized
  • My back and legs are getting energized
  • Energy flows thru me

I CAN’T DO IT

If you think you can’t then you won’t. Start telling yourself ‘I can’ for your goal or change. I can quit smoking. I can get an ‘A’ on my Math exam. I can lose weight. These words will give you more confidence and help you do it. Say these words out loud or to yourself. Do this during a work break, while walking from your car, before studying, anytime anywhere.

SELF HYPNOSIS ‘SUCCESS’ WAY

While your failures can be discouraging, your successes can be super motivating. Look over your life for your accomplishments. Bring into your mind a success of any kind that you had. Look at the difficulties you had to overcome. See feel yourself having these feelings of success. You can also use Peace self hypnosis. For Peace you can use ‘at peace’ or ‘heavy’ or ‘relaxing’ and just use the same one throughout the script. Here we use ‘relaxing’.

  • My shoulders, arms and hands are relaxing
  • My chest and stomach are relaxing
  • My back is relaxing. My whole body is relaxing
  • Now bring up a past success
  • Look at what I had to overcome
  • Let feelings of success come up
  • I did this and now I can reach my goal (put in your goal)
  • See feel yourself reaching your goal
  • Say: On the count of 5 wake up to a good day. 5.4.3.2.1.

SELF HYPNOSIS INSTRUCTIONS

You can keep your eyes open or closed. Peace is usually closed, strong open, and ‘relax relax’ can be either. First read the self hypnosis script to get an idea of what it is. Then read these lines one by one and follow what is says until you get the script in your head and then let them unfold in your mind. Deep is not needed. 

For Peace or Strong self hypnosis you have more than one choice of words to use i.e. for strong you can use strong or energized either one is good just use the same one thru the whole self hypnosis.

NOTE

My Workbooks will give you more ways to do the above. These can be done in normal everyday consciousness or in self hypnosis. The more often you do them the better results you will get. It can take time however soon they will become habits that you will use and get amazing results. You can also change, modify or come up with your own ways whichever you want.

SELF HYPNOSIS

The Inner Mind (subconscious) is made up of your memories, habits, emotions, creativity, imagination, fun, bodily functions and more. Basically self hypnosis allows you to put positive suggestions into your Inner Mind which will over time will change your negative thinking into positive thinking. My Hypnosis Workbook goes into great detail on how this works. I teach 5 types of self hypnosis: ‘relax relax’, Peace, Strong also called Energy, Audio tracks, and EFT.

AUDIO TRACKS

They are short 2-10 minutes long so you can listen most anytime. I have 2 types of audio tracks: ‘outloud’ and ‘relax’. The ‘outloud’ keeps you in normal consciousness so you can sit and listen or you can make your bed, take a break at work, do whatever. The ‘relax’ tracks take you into self hypnosis so you need to sit or lie down in a quiet area or use headphones. The booster is a ‘relax’ track and only takes 2 minutes so you can get a burst of motivation right away. 

So far I have Reach Your Goals (3), Quit Smoking (2), Weight Loss (3), Stress (2) with more to come. They are on this blog so you can listen anywhere on your phone.

‘relax relax’ SELF HYPNOSIS

Just repeat the words ‘relax relax’ and feel a wave of relaxation flow down thru your body. And the cravings, stress, anger whatever will go down. You can just focus on the tense area of your body and say ‘relax relax’ and this area relaxes. To start imagine it happening. Takes time.

PEACE SELF HYPNOSIS

For Peace self hypnosis you can say ‘at peace’ or ‘relaxing’ or ‘heavy’ whichever you want and use it thorough out the exercise. I use heavy.

  • My shoulders, arms and hands are ‘at peace’ or ‘relaxing’ or ‘heavy’
  • My chest and stomach are at peace
  • My back is at peace. I am at peace

STRONG – ENERGY SELF HYPNOSIS

  • My shoulders, arms and hands are ‘strong’ or ‘getting energized’
  • My chest and stomach are getting energized
  • My back and legs are getting energized
  • Energy flows thru me
