Self Hypnosis In Action

Confidence#1 – PEP Talk

Confidence#1 – PEP Talk

By on June 23, 2015

One part of confidence is knowing that you can do whatever you need to do. As you are successful your confidence grows. You walk taller and feel better about yourself. Stress and anxiety go down. Your life gets better.

Tomorrow I am assembling an Ikea kitchen table with a leaf for a neighbor. When I saw all the parts my confidence level took a dive and my tension level zoomed up about being able to do this. Could I do this? To get ready I am using the PEP talk and then visualizations (next post). Plus I got someone to help me.

PEP TALK – Sample

This is a powerful way to get and stay confident. It takes less than 10 seconds and can be done anywhere anytime. Make up 3-5 positive suggestions. Make them positive, present tense and personal. Or you can make them up on the spot like a coach would. What we are doing is putting positive suggestions into our Inner Mind (subconscious) to become more confident.

  • I am confident
  • I can do this or I can assemble this table or I can get an ‘A’ on math exam.
  • I am a person that gets things done.
  • A new person is emerging… one that is confident… see feel this person emerging.

Afterwards you can also use strong self hypnosis before or after this. Say:

  • My shoulders, arms and hands are strong.
  • My chest and stomach are strong.
  • My back and heart are strong.
  • I am strong.

PLAN B???

Confidence also comes from having a Plan B or knowing that whatever happens you can take care of it.

Next post we will go into Visualizations for being confident.
