When you look in the mirror do you wish you were buffed? Do you want bigger and stronger muscles? Your Inner Mind can help you have the body you want. It can help you add muscle and lose fat. It can help you get super pumped and work out harder than ever before. In this post we talk about growing bigger and stronger muscles. Other posts deal with losing fat.

THE BODY YOU WANT

First determine the body you want. Go look at your body in a mirror. This is your starting point. Perhaps take a picture. Find some way to measure what body you want. For example the body I want is 17-32-16. Which means 17″ arms, 32″ waist, 16 inch calves. You can also set a strength goal like I bench press 245 pounds. You can set yours anyway you want. Daydream about having this body. Listen to the audio tracks.

Everything here can be modify to suit whatever exercise program you have.

LOOK AT YOUR PRESENT BODY

  • Look in mirror.
  • Weigh or measure your body.
  • Do I have to lose weight and how much?
  • How healthy do I eat?
  • How fit am I?
  • How is my gym workout?

Weight Loss is covered in their own posts. Eating healthy can be found out by common sense and online. See your progress by looking in the mirror and by measuring your body by any standard you want.

MOTIVATION

Why do you want this body? Name 3 reasons. Which reason excites you the most? Who do you want to impress? Keep looking in the mirror. Notice any progress. Visualize your body as you want it. Listening to the tapes will get you pumped up.

AUDIO TRACKS

Audio tracks are powerful when used on a daily basis. There are two kinds: ‘out loud’ and ‘relax’. ‘Out loud’ keeps you in normal consciousness so you can listen while cooking, cleaning, driving to gym, anytime anywhere. I recommend you listen to this one while driving to gym and any other time you want. The ‘relax’ track takes you into light hypnosis. You need to sit or lie down in a quiet place or use headphones. Both are short. 6-9 minutes long so you can listen anytime anyplace. Big & Strong relax coming soon.

GYM WORKOUT

Now to the nitty-gritty.

WALKING TO THE GYM

As you walk to the gym door give yourself suggestions like:

  • I am strong.
  • I see feel the energy flowing thru my body. I am full of energy.
  • I complete my whole workout.

WHILE WORKING OUT

In between sets of whatever muscles you are working on say to yourself:

  • When working my shoulder muscles I say: Shoulder muscles grow bigger and stronger.
  • When working my arms I say: Arm muscles grow bigger and stronger.
  • Chest muscles grow bigger and stronger.
  • Stomach muscles grow bigger and stronger.
  • Back muscles grow bigger and stronger.
  • Butt muscles grow bigger and stronger.
  • Thigh muscles grow bigger and stronger.
  • Calf muscles grow bigger and stronger.
  • Or you can simply say ‘bigger and stronger’ whenever you want.

Say it like you are telling your shoulder muscles to grow big and strong. Bring your awareness to the muscles you are working on. See feel your muscles as you do the exercise. See feel your muscles growing bigger and stronger. Get yourself pumped up.

ANYTIME YOU WANT

Starting at your shoulder muscles go thru this simple mental exercise. You can do this anytime anywhere. While on a break at work, before lunch, walking, anytime anywhere. First bring your awareness to your shoulder muscles and then down your body. Say the following to yourself. See feel this happening as you do.

  • Shoulder muscles grow bigger and stronger.
  • Arm muscles grow bigger and stronger.
  • Chest muscles grow bigger and stronger.
  • Stomach muscles grow bigger and stronger.
  • My back muscles grow bigger and stronger.
  • Butt muscles grow bigger and stronger.
  • Thigh muscles grow bigger and stronger.
  • Calf muscles grow bigger and stronger.
  • Muscles grow bigger and stronger.

You are telling your Inner Mind what you want to happen plus you are working out a lot harder. Over time your muscles will grow bigger and stronger. As usual you can modify this anyway you want. This can also work for other sports.

ABOUT GARRY

I competed in the 1979 Mr Marin County Bodybuilding contest. I got my first set of weights the summer before high school. In my current program I work out very fast. After each set I start the next one about 3 seconds later. Between exercises I rush to the next one. I do 29 exercise some machines some free weight in less than 35 minutes.

Afterwards I do a 6 minute cool down on the treadmill where I do my mental exercises like ‘My shoulder muscles are growing bigger and stronger’. I also include other goals. I then do about 15-2o minutes on the Swiss Ball which is the giant ball you can sit on and do all kinds of stretching and strength exercises. It is the greatest for stomach, lower back and butt muscles. I also take a Swiss Ball class once a week.
